WICMA Lab is authorised by Directorate General, Shipping, to conduct tests on corrugated boxes used for exports of Hazardous Materials by Sea and issue UN Certificates.

Shipping hazardous materials requires them to be in compliance with UN standards. This means hazardous material needs to be properly classified, described, packaged, marked, labelled, and in condition for shipment as required or authorized by applicable international and Govt. regulations. UN mark is a universal / international system created by the United Nations, which is meant for the classification, packaging, marking and labelling of dangerous goods, to transport it safely .Testing of packages are required to be carried out, before a UN certification mark can be issued. The packaging must meet or exceed minimum standards of performance before it can be used. UN Certification is mandatory for packages that fall under Dangerous or Hazardous category transported by Sea or Air.
