46th FCBM Conference

The 46th FCBM Conference was proudly hosted and organised by WICMA at JW Marriott, Pune on 17th, 18th and 19th November 2017. The pleasure was doubled for us since this year also happens to be the Golden Jubilee year of WICMA.


The theme of this year's Conference, "Corrugated Packaging the Emerging New India" was based on the vision of our Prime Minister which envisages new opportunities for growth for the entire country. The Technical Sessions with eminent speakers from the corrugating fraternity as well as experts from supplier industries shared their knowledge and experience with the audience.


The Full-House audiences were an indication of the relevance and importance of the presentations and panel discussions which formed part of the Technical Sessions.


CorruClinic, an innovative feature, gave delegates an opportunity to consult experts in paper, adhesive, ink, stitching wires and printing on one-to-one basis. This program proved to be very popular with about 50 "Patients" who consulted and received sound advice from the "Doctors" on the CorruClinic panel.


As a special feature, we organised a visit to one of the leading corrugated machine manufacturers, BOBST. Delegates enjoyed the opportunity to see one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment and services in operation and to discuss technical issues with the factory representatives.’ The evenings were enlivened with performances by dance troupes and singers, enjoyed in an ambience which displayed a slice of the rich Maratha heritage. 800 plus delegates went home satisfied and happy to have participated in one of FCBM's most memorable Conferences ever

"Corrugated India 2012" - The 41st FCBM Conference hosted by WICMA was held in Mumbai from 11th to 13th December 2012 in the 5-star ambience of the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Powai, Mumbai.

Concurrent with this Conference an International Corrugated Box Exhibition named CORPEX 2012 was also held. The exhibition spread over 1800 sq. Mts, with about 65 stalls.

40th FCBM Conference - CORRUMEET 2011

Northern India Corrugated Box Manufacturers' Association (NICMA) hosted the 40th FCBM Conference from, 16-18 December 2011, at Hotel Crown Plaza, New Delhi, Rohini. More than 1000 delegates hailing from 23 different countries attended the event titled as CorruMeet INDIA 2011.

CorruExpo INDIA 2011 was held concurrently. There were 32 stalls showcasing the latest in technology ,services and materials. Ms. Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries Ltd, Mr. Keith Pearson, President, World Packaging Organisation and Mr. M. R. Gopalchary, FCBM President, were some of the dignitaries who graced the glittering inaugural session. A stirring address by noted motivational speaker and Management Guru, Mr. Shiv Khera started off the Conference in excellent style. The technical sessions during the three days were built around the the theme of 5Ms. viz. Man, Machine, Materials, Method and Marketing. Eminent speakers from across the world spoke on these subjects.

The evenings were marked with scintillating cultural performances and provided excellent ambience for networking and camaraderie.

The 39th Annual General Meeting of FCBM was held on the last day of the Conference. Mr. Sunil Sethi was elected President of FCBM. Mr. R. R. Ankola and Mr. Ramchand Arora were elected Vice Presidents I & II respectively.

35th Annual FCBM Conference and CORPEX exhibition
8 to 10 December 2006 at Lonavala ( near Mumbai ), INDIA

Corrugated Box Manufacturers as well as those connected with the industry, including suppliers and users of Corrugated Boxes will congregate during 8th - 10th December 2006 at Lonavala, a hill station near Mumbai. The event is the 35th Annual Conference of FCBM ? the Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India and CORPEX table top exhibition.

The theme is ? CORRUGATED PACKAGING THAT PERFORMS ?. FOUR Technical Sessions during 2 days will throw light on various aspects of Performance of Corrugated Boxes. Expert speakers from USA , Germany , China , Pakistan , Sri Lanka , Bangladesh , Dubai and India will take stock of the dynamics of the industry and the challenges being faced by the corrugated box manufacturers and other connected with the industry. Several innovations will be highlighted at the show.

The Conference provides an opportunity for members of the Federation and others connected with the industry including users of Corrugated Boxes to come together and outline the strategy to face the challenges and chart the road map for future growth. Box makers in India are gearing up to the demands of the global players who have set up manufacturing bases in India . First session will deal with comparing corrugated boxes made in India vis-à-vis abroad and the differences, if any. This is an attempt to identify gap, if any, as the industry prepares to face global competition.

A platform for corrugated box industry experts from nearby countries is thought of, for the first time, in an effort to reach out and learn from one another and grow. Experts from Pakistan , Bangladesh , Sri Lanka , Dubai and India will participate. More and more automatic plants are being installed to upgrade quality and production of Corrugated Boxes. Other innovations, such as design of corrugator rolls, high strength kraft paper and rotary die cutters will be highlighted. Discussions on heat required to manufacture corrugated boards, quality parameters for stitching wire, benefits of regular testing and relationship of Cobb value between paper and boards will clear doubts and make participants more conversant with the topics.

All these will happen in an ambience of Lonavla in December, ideal for business meetings. Concurrent to the Conference, there will be a Table top Exposition - CORPEX 2006 . Delegates will be able to interact with exhibitors who will be displaying the developments and technologies. Western India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association (WICMA), with its office in Mumbai, will be organizing the event and will play host to over 500 delegates expected to arrive from all over India and abroad.
