Technical Session - 2

Theme : CO-ORDINATION

Date : Wednesday,12 December 2012

Subject : Panel Discussion

Session II is based on the theme Co-ordination. We have planned the Session in two parts.

The first half is Co-ordination Meet with Paper Mills. The Panel comprises 5 Representatives of leading Paper Mills.

The second half is Co-ordination Meet with our Customers. 3 decision makers from organizations, which are large users of Corrugated Boxes will comprise the Panel.

Time : 9.30 to 10.30 : (Co-ordination Meet with Paper Mills)

Kraft Paper, being the major raw material of Corrugated Boxes, its quality has the greatest influence on the strength and performance of Corrugated Boxes.

Further, as the technology of manufacturing Corrugated Boxes is upgraded, so will be the demand on performance of Kraft Paper.

What are the new developments needed ? Is RCT required? Lineal Meters? Larger diameter of paper reels?

How can both our industries increase ‘reach’ of kraft paper made corrugated boxes in retail and fresh fruits / vegetables markets ?

This Panel will discuss some of these important issues and bring to light the views of large Paper Mills.

Time : 10.30 to 11.30 : (Co-ordination Meet with Customers)

Globalization, retail revolution and quantum jump in rural markets are posing new demands on Corrugated Boxes.

In today’s retail- centric market, there is an ever increasing competition among local and global brands. Packaging thus plays an even more significant role in brand building and attracting the consumer. Hence customers are placing new demands for innovative packaging.

Added to this, is the ever-increasing Supply Chain efficiency expectations.

Leading consumers of Corrugated Boxes will share their views on future trends and their expectations from our industry.

This Interactive Session will help us to better ‘Coordinate’ our working with both our suppliers and customers.

The Moderator will initiate the Sessions with a few questions and then invite questions from participants.

In this regard, you are welcome to send your questions ahead of times to Mr. Y. M. Rao on wicma@wicma.com or wicma@mtnl.net.in.
