Date : Tuesday, 11 December 2012
Time : 14.00 to 15.30
Subject : Future of Small Scale Units - Way Forward
Since the last decade a number of Corrugated Box Making units in India have
switched to Automatic Process by installing high speed Automatic Corrugated Board /
Box making Plants.
However, the major percentage of box makers in India continue to manufacture
Corrugated Boards and Boxes with Semi-Automatic Process.
Many Box Makers are still in dilemma whether going big with huge investments in machines and materials is the only way ahead.
In Today’s business environment it is not necessarily about being big or small, but
working on a CONCEPT to build up quality, technology and ability to compete
and succeed.

It is no longer the tussle between Automatic and Semi-Automatic that will dictate the
survival. It is innovative designs, intelligent use of materials, adopting technologies
for high productivity, efficient management and more importantly understanding and servicing the customer - needs will differentiate the winner.
If this is the scenario, then it is necessary to work along a new CONCEPT on how to
be better and cost effective to survive and grow.
In this Session Dr. Mankad - an eminent Economist and Management Consultant
will throw light on the “Way Forward” for the small scale corrugated packaging
manufacturers.
His CONCEPT will not only guide the small scale units into a new profitable way of
doing business but will also help the big units to adopt this CONCEPT for moving
faster on the growth path.
Let us together go on the “Way Forward”
