COURSE INFORMATION :
The Management and Technical Development Programmes pioneered by Western India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association (WICMA) in 1991 have been receiving encouraging response, both from the Industry and others connected with the Corrugated Packaging Industry.

As a sequel to this, WICMA has been organising "Certificate Courses in Corrugated Packaging", which have been acclaimed by members, consumers and others connected with the Corrugated industry.

So far, 41 such Certificate Courses have been conducted. 995 students from Corrugating & User Industries have been benefited by these Courses, as on date.

Based on various feedback received from the Corrugated & User industries we have re-calibrated the course and syllabus into 3 different levels viz. Basic (1st Level), Intermediate (2nd Level) & Advanced (3rd Level).


Profile of the Participants:
The Course is ideally suited for manufacturers, sellers, suppliers and buyers of corrugated boxes. For benefit of different levels of interest, the course is now divided into 3 levels as follows:

Basic (1st) Level Course

Designed for start-ups and entrepreneurs who are desirous of setting up a corrugation unit. Completed successfully in May 2018.

Intermediate (2nd) Level Course

Designed for those already in the industry and looking to upgrade and update their knowledge and skills. This course will be held from 3rd to 8th September 2018.

Advanced (3rd) Level Course

Designed for those who have large corrugation plants and advanced machines. This course is, at present, in the planning stage.


Faculty:

Professionals & Experts from Industry and faculty members of Indian Institute of Packaging.

Presentation:

Discussion oriented, aided by audio-visuals, samples, charts and demonstration.

Live Demonstration:

  • Various QC tests such as GSM, BS, BCT, COBB, FCT, ECT, PRT, SCT etc.
  • Visit to Paper Mill.
  • Visit to Box Manufacturing Unit.

Recognition:

Students attending the Course shall be awarded performance Certificates. The performance will be evaluated through surprise test(s) & group discussions.

Education Awards:

Two outstanding students of the Course shall be awarded the Mansukhbhai Sheth - WICMA Education Award and G. B. Chamaria – WICMA Education Award respectively. Similarly, best speaker will be awarded.

Course Fees (For Basic Level Course) :

FCBM Members: Rs. 13000/- plus GST @ 18% = Rs. 15340/-
Non - Members: Rs. 14000/- plus GST @ 18% = Rs. 16520/-
(Fees are inclusive of Snacks, Lunch, Study Materials & Plant Visit)

Registration :
